The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, commonly referred to as simply "Skyrim," is an open-world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios. It was released in 2011 and is the fifth installment in The Elder Scrolls series.
Skyrim takes place in the fictional province of Skyrim, located in the continent of Tamriel. The game's story revolves around the player character, a Dragonborn, who has the ability to absorb the souls of dragons and use their power. The Dragonborn is tasked with defeating Alduin, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. Along the way, the player character can complete quests, explore dungeons, and interact with non-player characters.
