"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" is a 1975 American drama film directed by Miloš Forman and based on the 1962 novel of the same name by Ken Kesey. The movie tells the story of Randle McMurphy (played by Jack Nicholson), a rebellious criminal who feigns insanity to avoid serving his sentence on a prison work farm. He is transferred to a mental institution where he meets a group of patients with various mental illnesses, including the timid and abused Billy Bibbit (played by Brad Dourif) and the stern and oppressive Nurse Ratched (played by Louise Fletcher).
